A bit about my sona and how she came about.
Name
First let's break down her name:
Serendipity - a "happy accident" or "pleasant surprise"; specifically, the accident of finding something good or useful while not specifically searching for it.
Sage - someone venerated for the possession of wisdom, judgment, and experience.
The first part of her name came about due to an actual experience. So her story is basically inspired by a true story, though doesn't actually follow the plot.
The second part came to mind when I tried to think of the type of pony she is, or rather the type of person I am. I am typically that friend that everyone goes to for advice and I'm not afraid to step in when I feel something needs to be said. I've learned through experiences and I try to help friends avoid making the same mistakes I have, or
Destiny Soothsayer (Unicorn): Pending OC. Possibly Serendipity's sister. No details have been figured out for this OC.
Aerostar (Pegasus): Adopted from =lattees

First, Alicorns. You know, I personally like them. I think they are cute. WHY the hell should it matter if they don't have such a great backstory for them? It's their OC, let them be. How would you like it if someone harassed you about one of your OC's because they simply didn't like the backstory? Newsflash, OC's are meant to please the creators, not the viewers. I just don't think it's right when people feel pressured into changing their OC because of how society thinks they should be. I have more to say, but I guess I'll leave it at that. For now.

Second, self-absorbed popularity. I've seen quite a lot of bitching about so-and-so is so full of themselves that they made their own fan club or so-and-so thinks their shit don't stink. So what? In what way is that affecting you? Don't like it, don't get involved with it. Why does their life and the way they choose to portray themselves concern you? Plain and simple. This is the internet guys, no one is forcing you to be involved!

Third, trolls. DON'T FEED THEM. So what if someone posts a blog dissing you or your OC. I mean, yeah, it hurts, but look at the bright side, at least you're getting free advertisement. We had one of these trolls in the Taxidermy community on DA that sprouted up because she got butthurt. And the more people bitched about her, the more it just encouraged her. If you react, you're just letting them know that what they are doing is working. You're letting them win. But if you ignore them, they'll eventually tire and get bored once they realize they're not going to get a rise out of you.
